TAB to Temporarily Freeze Five Markets
to 2006 Levels
Dear Plant Operators:
On September 29th
you received a communication stating the
release schedule of the 2007 DECs. This
is an important follow-up to that communication.
In the review process,
we noticed that some traffic counts had
higher than expected levels of change relative
to the current 2006 counts. These extreme
situations were mostly concentrated in the
New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Philadelphia,
and Chicago DMAs.
TAB will take an
extra effort to insure a smooth transition
to the new 2007 DECs. We are currently investigating
these extreme situations so that they can
be satisfactorily resolved. While this process
is underway, the TAB will freeze the DECs
to their 2006 levels in five DMAs listed
above and a small number of DECs in other
DMAs.
We anticipate that
all markets will be available for public
release on schedule for January of next
year. We are in the process of re-doing
the spreadsheets for your review and expect
to have them out by the middle of next week.
Sincerely,

Jeff Casper
