Follow-up to September 29th 2007 Audit
Release Announcement
Dear TAB Operators:
During your review
of the 2007 numbers some of you may have
noticed a handful of panels with a “0” instead
of a DEC. This is because at the time of
this release we were still locating traffic
counts for these faces. Some of you may
also have asked us to review existing counts
as per operator appeal.
I’m pleased to report
that we have now found traffic counts for
about 98% of appeals and new faces. All
were gathered directly from the appropriate
DOT from the newest sources available.
You can access your
information right now by logging onto www.tabviewonline.com.
This is a different web site than www.tabonline.com.
It is where we keep information that is
not yet made public to our membership. Please
e-mail me if you’ve lost your user name
and password. Larger operators using a centralized
system will be forwarded the new DECs for
upload in the coming week. Others should
be getting the numbers we forwarded to them
into their charting systems now.
This information
will be posted along with all other new
DECs to
www.tabonline.com
on January 1st. Please note the following
TAB rules:
We are now unable
to accept any more changes to the database
prior to the January release as we need
the rest of this year to process the final
results. There may be a few changes we need
to make in January to take care of the last
of the requests.
We continue to make improvements
to our process through operator suggestions.
We appreciate your patience and guidance
as we move from a de-centralized three year
cycle to a centralized one year cycle. I
also want to thank Melinda Toscano and Praful
Mistry (Transearch) who along with Sean
McCarthy’s IT guidance saw this process
through. We hope to have more help next
year!
Have a happy holiday and a good 2007.
Sincerely,

Jeff Casper
